The Wisconsin Humane Society is expanding its portfolio with the acquisition of a Kenosha humane society. The Wisconsin Humane Society acquired the Safe Harbor Humane Society, otherwise known as the Kenosha County Humane Society. The shelter is located at 7811 60th Ave. in Kenosha. 'Nonprofit animal shelters operate with limited resources, and it is even more difficult because every organization is separate and has to individually fund their overhead costs,' Wisconsin Humane Society president and CEO Alison Fotsch Kleibor said in a press release.
